Small updates...

The blog had some small updates, on the left you can now find a search function and a control for the music.

Wintertime ... Time to think...

Together with the wintertime a less hectic period started although we have a wedding every second week and many albums to design.

However, this period is great for analyzing our workflow, especially for things we want to improve and there are always thing to improve, not in photography only but also in the way we work.

Some things we will decide this winter (and which will be discussed here with you) are:

1) going fully digital, back to film or staying hybrid?

2) how to create a better proofing system for our books.

3) shall we outsource out photoshop production?

4) and were to position ourselves: will we promote ourselves here locally (Croatia) or more international (50% our clients are foreigners)?

As you see, enough to work on, four big questions which need to be solved before the new 2008 season and any ideas from your side is welcome. Hvala ti.

Wedding Books included!

As you can read here our wedding books are a great success and every book is unique. For us, wedding photography is more then making the pictures.

Many studios give you just a bag with pictures BUT designing an album or book is almost as important as photography itself. Afterall, you want to have something special.

For this reason we decided, that from now on (for new bookings) a small wedding book is included in the package.

Assistant needed!

It has been very busy lately but now it is really time to look forward. The next year looks very promising and therefore we are looking for a new assistant (m/f).

Being an assistant is a bloody job: you will carry our gear, translate things if needed, make long hours, be underpaid and work during weekends…

However, you will be able to learn a lot and have the possibility to grow and become a second or first shooter.

What do we ask:

a love for photography a love for weddings living in ZG.

Trash The Dress goes Down Under!

After being very successful in the USA, TTD came also to Europe: this summer Milos Horvat and I had the biggest Trash The Dress party ever held on this continent. Some results can be seen here.

And now finally, TTD goes Down Under: check out great work from our Australian colleques: Trash The Dress Australia!

Ivana & Malcolm [ vjenčanja ]

The last wedding in september was a very international one… the bride is a Croat, the groom half Scotsman, half French and they are both living in Belgium. The guests were from 15 different nationalities and the church ceremony was hold in 4 languages. Svaka čast!

The books are so beautiful, I knew that they are going to be unique but I have to admit that they surpassed all my expectations!!!

Michelle & Robbie [ Dubrovnik ]

Michelle and Robbie came all over from lovely Ireland to get married in Dubrovnik, one of Croatia's most wonderful towns.

The wedding was organized by Dubrovnik Weddings, an agency specialized in weddings for foreigners, and probably the most professional one I saw until now in Croatia! They took care of every detail and made sure the couple’s day was unforgettable.

Since all the guests were from abroad, I also put some photos of Dubrovnik here as well, since for them it was part of the wedding. Enjoy.

Marina & Igor [ Vinkovci ]

Marina and Igor got married in Vinkovci during the 'Vinkovačke jeseni', the largest folklore festival in this part of Europe, and this made their wedding quite special due to the entourage.

However, for Slavonian terms the wedding was quite small: only around 150 guests and therefore still intimate. The couple had the most unique opening dance I ever saw: a Tango. Way to go!

Below are some photos, enjoy.
